Deo Kato

Deo is a Ugandan born trail and ultra runner based in London who is a PT, Running Coach and Activist. Coming to the UK at the age of 10 years old to now, Deo experienced racism soon after arriving in the UK and something that still happens now.

On 6th June 2020, Deo set out to run 10km every day for 381 days to protest against racial injustice and inequality in our society - a challenge that concludes on 21st June 2021. The 381 days honours those of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955-56 Alabama, USA and the change they created on the policy of racial segregation.

Deo hopes to inspire change through his running journey and experience.
